Backcountry & Ice Travel Safety Presentation
Upper Susitna Community and Senior CenterThe Susitna River Coalition is working in partnership with Alaska Safe Riders to host a Backcountry & Ice Travel Safety Presentation on Tuesday, December 9th at 6pm at the Upper Susitna Senior Center. This is an educational presentation on safe travel in backcountry and ice conditions for snowmachines. The session will include information on recognizing signs of weak or unsafe ice, recommended safety equipment, and response steps in the event of a breakthrough. Susitna Valley Forest Management Plan Informational Meeting
Upper Susitna Community and Senior CenterThe Alaska Department of Natural Resources is hosting an informational meeting about the development of an updated Susitna Valley Forest Management Plan. The meeting is in person on Tuesday, November 18th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center. The purpose of the meeting is to share information about the planning process and how members of the public can participate. An opportunity to provide input related to the proposed Susitna Valley state forest will also be provided at this meeting. Comments may also be emailed to dnr.dof.matsuplanning@alaska.gov.
Holiday Bazaar – Upper Susitna Seniors
Upper Susitna Community and Senior CenterUpper Susitna Seniors Inc. is hosting a Holiday Bazaar at the Center on Saturday, November 8th from 10am to 4pm. There will be local artisans selling their goods and homemade soup for sale. The Homemakers will be selling raffle tickets for their annual quilt raffle to raise money for high school student scholarships.

Stop the Bleed Class
