    The Willow Public Library hosts a Story Time, followed by play time in the Willow Community Center on Thursdays beginning at 11:00am. Story Time is geared toward children up to 5 years old, but all are welcome. You may call the Willow Library at 907-861-7655 with any questions.

  • Su Dog 300 – Sled Dog Race – Soup Dog

    The Su Dog 300 Sled Dog Race continues through February 24th. Soup Dog is on Monday, February 23rd starting at 5pm at the Willow Community Center. This is a community event and soup competition. It's timed so people will come together, enjoy food, and possibly see the first few mushers cross the finish line. All are welcome to attend and cheer on the mushers. You can follow the mushers with the Live Tracker and learn more at sudog300.org.

  • Stop the Bleed classes – Willow Community Emergency Response Team

    The Willow Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is hosting Stop the Bleed classes at the Willow Community Center on Saturday, November 22nd. There are two classes: 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. This two-hour class includes a presentation and hands-on activities, for ages 14 and up. Space is limited; pre-registration is required.     Mat-Su Borough staff will be coming to the communities for Fuel Excise Tax Informational Open Houses. There is one today, September 23rd at the Willow Community Center, at 6pm. Another meeting will be held at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center on Thursday, October 23rd, at 6pm.

  • Willow 4th of July Parade & Celebration

    The Willow Area Community Organization (WACO) hosts Willow's 4th of July Parade and Celebration this Friday. The parade starts at the First Baptist Church at noon and travels to the Willow Community Center. Following the parade is a celebration at the Community Center; there will be a contest for the most patriotic outfit and a community BBQ beginning at 1:30pm.
