Due to server issues, some Mat-Su Borough services are currently unavailable. According to a statement by borough spokesperson Patty Sullivan on Tuesday, database issues have taken some web and transaction services online.
Web services affected include eCommerce and MyProperty. The main borough website is online as of Wednesday afternoon.
Some borough facilities have also been affected, but are remaining open. Those include public pools and libraries, though all transactions at those locations must be made with cash or check, and books at the libraries are being checked out manually.
The computers at the Animal Care facility are also down, but the facility is open with limited services. Surrenders and strays are being taken, pets are being reunited with owners, and adoptions are still available. As with the libraries, all transactions must be made with check or cash until the issue is resolved.
The central landfill is accepting credit cards, though they are being run manually, so the process may take longer than usual.
Patty Sullivan says the borough’s IT department is working to get the issue resolved, and regular updates will be made online.
