A Grand Jury in Palmer has indicted a Willow man after an argument led to a shooting near Mile 91 of the Parks Highway last year. According to Alaska State Troopers, James Armstrong, age 60 from Willow, has been charged with two counts of murder in the second degree and one count of manslaughter after an argument last November with 61-year-old Ronald Gunter of Talkeetna escalated to a physical fight. Armstrong allegedly grabbed a gun and fired a single shot in an attempt to stop the assault. The shot struck Gunter in the head, killing him instantly.
Anderson’s Bail was set at $25,000.
