Yoder road has been re-opened. A new culvert has been put in place to help shed water during future high water events. A number of residents had made requests to DOT to put up a guard rail to limit the amount of traffic on to the beach at Montana Creek, after many people raised concerns about the impact of ATV traffic in the stream and the elevated levels fecal coliform 15 times the state standard. In 2010 the Susitna Community Council asked DNR to come up with a management plan for the Montana Creek area, so far nothing as happened.

Yaks Run Loose on Talkeetna Spur Road
At least twice this summer, yaks have been spotted running loose along the Talkeetna Spur Road. Mat-Su Borough Animal Control has opened a case for multiple reports about the loose
