Talkeetna says goodbye to librarian Christensen

Talkeetna Librarian Patty Christenson has been a friendly face in the upper Valley for years.  She has given her official notice to the Mat Su Borough and her last week will be the first week in May.

She is leaving Alaska for a family commitment in the lower 48.

Christenson says the people of Talkeetna have been good to her and her commitment to the recent bookmobile study is strong.  She will see the feasibility study through to its end even if it means doing it long distance.

She says there was great interest shown in her position when she was at a recent conference with other librarians around the state.  The librarian position is posted on the Borough website and is open through April 15th.
