Talkeetna council accepts nominations for board vacancy

The Talkeetna Community Council has accepted 3 nominations for the empty seat on the Board of Directors vacated by Don Lee last month.
The council board needs to fill the seat in May. The bylaws demand the board votes via secret ballot. The position will be filled at the next council meeting on May 4th. The three candidates vying for the empty seat are Cary Birdsall, Rian Bristow and Larry Dearman.
That seat is up for re-election this fall.
