Residents vote today for Mat Su Borough mayor

Voting for the Mat Su Borough mayor takes place all day Tuesday at a special election.
There are seven candidates contending for the seat.
Previous mayor Curt Menard died after a long struggle with cancer on March 3rd. His term would have been up this fall. The incoming mayor will fill the position until the fall election and then will be required to run again.
Residents in the northern valley may vote at the Talkeetna Elementary School, the Sunshine Fire Hall at the junction of the Spur Road and the Parks Highway and the Trapper Creek Elementary School. The polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
