Talkeetna hits record high temps Tuesday

A record high was recorded Tuesday at the Talkeetna Airport. The record of 86 degrees set in 1972 was broken late in the afternoon when the temperature soared to 89 degrees F.
Talkeetna joins a number of villages and towns across the state that broke record highs. Valdez, Anchorage, Gustavus, Skagway and others set records. Skwentna tied its record of 80 degrees set in 2004. Fairbanks reported its 6th day in a row of temperatures 80 degrees or warmer.
