I am in support of sustainable use of our local forest lands. Heating a public building with wood owned by the public seems to be very good way to start. The wood and forest lands all around us are our most abundant resources. The opportunity to establish a Study or Experimental Forest in conjunction with UAF is very exciting. It will positively impact our local students and community. Let’s figure out how to do it right and move forward deliberately. Can we agree that continuing to burn fuel oil is not sustainable?
