Tanana River ice goes out

The ice on the Tanana River went out at 9:06 this morning, tripping the trigger on the Ice Classic tripod in Nenana.
The winners or winner, will receive a $279,000 jackpot.
Last year the ice went out on May 1st.
Nearly 235,000 tickets were sold this year.
