Rail coach partially derails

A passenger train partially derailed on Wednesday when one wheel of a Holland America passenger coach jumped the track. The train remained upright and no injuries were reported.The accident happened around noon, eleven railroad miles north of Talkeetna.
The train consisted of six coaches and the fifth coach derailed.
Thirty-nine passengers and 13 crewmembers were on the Holland America coaches and they continued on to Fairbanks after the incident.
Stephanie Wheeler, spokeswoman for the Alaska Rail Road Corporation described the derailment as a “non-event” as nobody was hurt.
An on-scene investigation is underway to determine the cause of the derailment.
