Unique program brings tourists and locals together

Following a unique fundraiser model pioneered in Fairbanks, two Talkeetna non-profits found a creative way to tap into tourism dollars flowing into the community. The Denali Arts Council and the Sunshine Transit teamed up to offer tourists a real Alaska experience and make some money in the process.

    Sunshine Transit is now publicly subsidized. I do not find it appropriate use of public monies to subsidize a feel good tourist program.
