Public Access Easement
Project Description and Location
In accordance with the provisions of AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southcentral Regional Office is considering the issuance of a public access easement, across state owned, DNR DMLW managed lands situated within Section 6, Township 20 North, Range 4 West, Seward Meridian. The easement, as proposed, will be approximately 750 feet in length, encompassing an area of 0.52 acres, more or less (see attached drawing, Figure 1). The primary purpose of the requested easement will be to provide electricity to the Alaska Railroad Corporation for a switch at their Kashwitna Siding.
Comment Period and Additional Information
Members of the public and interested parties are invited to comment on this proposal. The Division of Mining, Land and Water must receive written comments addressed to the Southcentral Region Office, 550 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 900C, Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3577 no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 6, 2010.
