Approximately 3,100 residents lost power this morning in the Susitna Valley. MEA spokesperson, Cheryll Heinze, says that the Douglas power station in Wasilla lost power, which resulted in Teeland station also losing power. Communities of Houston, Willow, Talkeetna and Trapper Creek were without power.
Heinze said the power went out around 8:30 and was restored at 8:55.
