Troopers and Talkeetna Emergency Services responded to a vehicle accident on the Talkeetna Spur Road Saturday morning.

Troopers reported that Brandy Starrett, age 23, of Talkeetna was southbound in her vehicle when she lost control and the vehicle hit the snow berm on the side of the road and rolled over.

Captain Tim Morgan said the vehicle was not in a position to give responders the ability to easily remove Starrett.  The hydraulic tools were required to peel the roof off and extract her from the car.

Starrett was wearing her seatbelt.  Troopers report that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.  Morgan says that Starrett was transported to Mat Su Regional with non life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was declared a total loss and towed from the scene.
