Talkeetna residents to see 50% utility rate hike

A new arsenic treatment system, past capital projects, recent sewer problems that required help of outside contractors have all added up to increased costs for the Talkeetna water utility.  The Sewer Water Board of Directors has been discussing rate increases for almost a full year, and now, its actually happening.   Sue Deyoe has the latest on the water plant operation and the impending rate hike:
