Su Valley Voice-The Talkeetna Library-past, present and future

by KTNA Staff ~ September 21st, 2011

Talkeetna librarian Ann Yadon, and Friends of the Talkeetna Library member Peg Foster revisit the institution’s history, talk about how the library is used today, and talk about what library users hope for in the coming years. The discussion focuses on how the library building seems no longer adequate for its many uses, the possibility of building a new facility in the next few years, and how that facility could be funded. Will Peterson hosts the program. Audio is about an hour.

Thank you so much for posting this for those of us who can’t listen in at certain times. What a great conversation and very informative! This project, and others, deserve even more air time. I hope it can rerun again a time or two for others to listen in, even though the reference to the meeting will be old at that point. Maybe have another one with a “point-counterpoint” for those that question the idea of a new library. I would like to hear more from both sides.
