by Lorien Nettleton ~ April 5th, 2013

Memorial Services will be held this weekend for the Alaska State Trooper, the Rescue Helicopter Pilot, and the civilian they rescued, all of whom lost their lives when Helo-1 went down near Larsen Lake last weekend.
Helo-1 pilot Mel Nading’s memorial service will be held on Saturday April 6, at noon, at the ChangePoint Church located at 6689 ChangePoint Drive Anchorage. This location is near the intersection of Minnesota Dr. and Raspberry Rd.  There will be a reception following the service at the same location.

The Memorial service for  Trooper Tage Toll will occur on Sunday April 7, at 3:00 PM, at the Wasilla Bible Church located at 1651 W. Nicola Avenue in Wasilla.  This location is right off the George Parks Hwy. across from Spenard Builder’s Supply.

The Talkeetna Bachelor Society will hold an informal memorial get-together in the Talkeetna Village Park on Saturday, April 6, at 3 pm to remember Carl Ober.

My heart is very heavy. I was married to Carl Ober for 8 years. We have a son Jeremy, & he has a little girl, Malania who is 1 year old. We kept in touch & stayed friends all these years! I know he found a life & home in Alaska that fit him perfectly. I will always miss his laughter & fun!! RIP Carl Ober!! My ex-husband & friend!!! xoxo
