The primary election for the state of Alaska is held on Tuesday. However, if residents have plans to be out of the area that day, they are still able to vote absentee ballot until Monday evening.
Residents registered to vote may fill out their absentee ballot at the Talkeetna Library or the Trapper Creek Library, depending on the area in which a person resides.
Talkeetna’s hours are 11 to 6, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays and Trapper Creek is open 11-7 weekdays and noon to 6 on Saturdays. Identification is required and librarian Ann Yadon says the voting is a little stricter this year than in the past. There will be a choice of three ballots this primary.
