The Alaska Railroad Corporation has hired a new president and CEO, slated to start later on this month.
The railroad’s board of directors selected Christopher Aadnesen of Georgetown, Texas to head the Alaska Railroad. Aadnesen’s most recently served for three years as the CEO of Estonian Railways. He has held senior corporate positions with railroads including the Union Pacific Railroad Company, a Mexican railroad company, The Texas Mexican Railway Company and Houston’s Port Terminal Railroad Association.
Aadnesen replaces interim president and CEO Bill O’Leary.
