After a 6.8 magnitude earthquake was triggered in the Gulf of Alaska, scientists monitoring the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, or HAARP, noticed interesting readings had occurred prior to the earthquake. A science blogger wrote that the HAARP project had predicted the earthquake.
Many Alaskans are familiar with the name HAARP, and many people view the project with suspicion. Lorien Nettleton spoke with Space Physicist Carl Anderson to find out some of what the HAARP can, and can’t do.
