Talkeetna musher Anja Radano has finished her second Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

Radano checked into Nome shortly before 8:00 am yesterday morning with ten dogs in harness. Her team’s total time on the trail was thirteen days, sixteen hours, fifty-three minutes, and thirty-four seconds.
This year’s race took Anja about twenty hours longer than last year. In an interview with official Iditarod trail reporter Terrie Hanke, she says the trail was much more difficult than last year. In addition to difficult conditions along the coast, Radano had to deal with injuries sustained earlier in the race when she broke a rib and injured her leg after a fall in the Dalzell Gorge.
Radano and her team finished the race in thirty-fifth position. Fifty-two teams began this year’s Iditarod.
