An unidentified man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Talkeetna Spur Road on Saturday night.
According to Alaska State Troopers, a 72-year-old driver struck the end of the Answer Creek guardrail in a Ford pickup while under the influence of alcohol.
A fire rescue crew was able to remove the driver from the truck. He was then transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A charge of driving under the influence has been forwarded to the Palmer district attorney’s office for review.
