Alaska State Troopers are looking for two people in connection with a burglary that was interrupted on Wednesday evening.
According to Troopers, the call of a burglary in progress near Mile 96 of the Parks Highway came in shortly before 6:00 pm.
The caller told Troopers he confronted the two would-be burglars in his driveway. He says the suspects then tried to run him over in a black Chevy Avalanche pickup truck. The caller says he fired a pistol at the vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene in the truck.
Troopers later found the pickup abandoned about five miles away with a flat tire. They ask that anyone with information on the incident call CrimeStoppers at 745-3333 or Trooper dispatch at 352-5401.
