On Saturday evening, a small float plane crashed in the Susitna River near Talkeetna. According to Alaska State Troopers, the crash was reported shortly before 6:30 pm. Troopers say a witness saw three people exit the plane and made their way to a nearby sandbar.
Emergency responders were able to reach the plane’s occupants from the sandbar with help from Mahay’s Jetboat Adventures. They were treated for minor injuries at the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified of the crash, and Troopers say the investigation is ongoing.
