StarDate Susitna 12-28-25, by Kathleen Fleming

Kathleen gives a tour of the night sky to night owls, as well as early birds, in this edition of StarDate Susitna.

ERROR ALERT:  “Guess my head wasn’t in the game and/or I didn’t give myself enough ponder and edit time…  My description of morning alpenglow was the right sequence for EVENING alpenglow.  Before dawn the pink in the sky called the Belt of Venus forms above the horizon opposite the sun, and then descends onto the mountains.  And so I think Friday may be the better photo op…  Clouds permitting. Kathleen took this picture 12/5 at 10:26 AM, 20 minutes after the official time of sunrise.

After the 12-5-25 Moon over Denali event, Kathleen whipped together this study

“Any feedback about SDS, the visual aids, your suggestions and photos, are welcome. Please send an email to Kathleen at dj@ktna.org, and put SDS in the subject line.
And if you noticed the obvious error in this week’s show, feel free to rant. ;-] K* “
