  • Breakfast Book Club – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Library’s Breakfast Book Club meets at 9:30am by the fireplace on Wednesday, February 11th. The selection for this month, in honor of Black History Month, is What the Fireflies Knew by Kai Harris. The book club meets in person and on Zoom. Breakfast snacks and beverages will be served.   • Computer Classes – Talkeetna Public Library

    The Friends of the Talkeetna Library host computer classes every 2nd and 4th Friday from 1 to 3pm at the Talkeetna Public Library beginning on Friday, February 13th. The classes include: Basic Computing, How Not to Be Fooled by Spam and AI, Basic Internet, Windows 11, and more. The schedule including topics can be found in the event on KTNA's calendar.   • Tween Page to Screen – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Public Library Talkeetna

    Talkeetna Library hosts the Tween Page to Screen book club on Saturday, February 14th from 5 to 7pm. They will be watching the movie adaptation of Alex Rider: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz.   • The Sizzle & Stir Club – Talkeetna Public Library

    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the The Sizzle & Stir Club beginning today (Monday, January 12th). This 7-week long cooking program is open to 4th and 5th graders and homeschool students are welcome. Transportation from Talkeetna Elementary School to the library will be provided by Sunshine Transit.   • Reading Mentors – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Public Library's Reading Mentors program is on Tuesdays at 3:15pm. This program is for 1st through 3rd graders and is designed to help new readers get experience and confidence in reading out loud. Transportation from Talkeetna Elementary School to the library will be provided by Sunshine Transit. If you have any questions, or you would like to volunteer as a reading, mentor, you may call the library at 907-861-7645.

  • Stone Soup adult cooking class – Talkeetna Public Library

    Friends of the Talkeetna Library host the next Stone Soup adult cooking class at 5pm on Wednesday, February 18th at the Talkeetna Public Library. All supplies are provided.
