    Denali Education Center hosts Mushrooms of Alaska, a talk and foray presented by Kate Mohatt and Noah Siegel exploring the wide variety of mushrooms native to the region. All are welcome to attend the lecture at the Susitna Hall in Talkeetna at 11am, followed by a mushroom foray at 1pm on Saturday, August 30th.     The Mat-Su Borough Library board meets this Tuesday, September 9th, at 1 pm at the Talkeetna Public Library. Topics include a new material acquisition policy that was inaugurated on September 1st. The library invites you to attend and welcomes persons to-be-heard at the meeting, each person will have 3 minutes to share their thoughts.     Talkeetna Recycling is on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12 to 4pm. There has been a lot of bee activity at recycling recently. The recycling team warns you to be very careful when on the ramp. If you are allergic to bees, please try to stay away until after a freeze.

    Denali Arts Council hosts Sip 'n' Swap, Not Shop, a clothing, books, and reusable items swap, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, September 14th from 2 to 5pm. All are welcome to bring freshly laundered clothing, books and usable items in great condition to swap with something new to you. Beverages will be available for purchase, please bring a snack to share.
