Trapper Creek Community CenterTrapper Creek Community Services Association hosts an Easter Egg Hunt with Games and Activities on Saturday, April 4th at the Trapper Creek Community Center, beginning at 11am. The Egg Hunts are scheduled by ages; children 4 and under from 11-11:30am, ages 5 to 8 from 11:45am to 12:15pm, ages 9-12 from 12:30-1pm, and ages 13+ from 1:15 to 1:45pm. Social Security 101 Webinar – Alaska Commission on Aging
Talkeetna Public Library Talkeetna +1 moreAlaska Commission on Aging is hosting a public webinar with Social Security Administration Regional Public Affairs Specialist, Nathan Cole, on Social Security and Medicare at the Talkeetna Public Library on Tuesday, April 7th, beginning at 12pm. Following the webinar, Sean McPhilamy, a volunteer with the State of Alaska’s Medicare Information Office, will provide an overview on Medicare. After the general discussion, he will be available for one-on-one conversations as needed, until 3pm. If you have questions you need answered, you are welcome to email them ahead of time to doh.acoa.info@alaska.gov. Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaTalkeetna Library hosts the last Tween Page to Screen program for the season on Saturday, April 11th from 5-7pm. The book Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene will be discussed and then the movie will be compared to the book. Tweens ages 9-12 are welcome.

Soggy Sneaker 5K Run – Denali Arts Council
Sheldon Community Arts Hangar +1 moreDenali Arts Council hosts the Soggy Sneaker 5K Run as part of the Banff Film Festival festivities on Saturday, April 11th. The run starts at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar at 12pm, winding through some soggy spring snow along the Chase Trail, and finishing at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. Talkeetna Sunshine Gardening Club – Talkeetna Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaThe Talkeetna Sunshine Gardening Club is starting up again at the Talkeetna Library. They will be meeting to discuss Transplanting Seedlings today, Tuesday April 14th at 5pm. The next meeting times and dates will also be discussed. The yearly Seed Catalog is stocked.
