    The Talkeetna Library’s Breakfast Book Club will hold its first book club meeting of the season on Wednesday, September 10th at 9:30am. The book this month is Leading Men by Christopher Castellani. Copies are available at the library. Coffee, tea, and breakfast finger foods will be served. All are welcome to attend.     There is a Community Song Circle held at Denali Education Center's Talkeetna Campus, Susitna Hall, the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8pm. This is a non-performable group, skill and experience is not required. All ages are welcome to attend, the goal is to simply have fun singing with others.     Building families through adoption

    Alaska Center for Resource Families is hosting informational sessions about adoption via Zoom.

    Building families through adoption aims to prepare potential adoptive parents for the realities and joys of adoption. All potential adoptive parents are welcome but it is particularly valuable for persons wanting to adopt from Alaska’s foster care system.

    All classes are held from 10 am to 12 pm. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning September 2nd and ending the 16th.

    Here’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:

    • Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

    Talkeetna Recycling is on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12 to 4pm. There has been a lot of bee activity at recycling recently. The recycling team warns you to be very careful when on the ramp. If you are allergic to bees, please try to stay away until after a freeze.

    Denali Arts Council hosts Sip 'n' Swap, Not Shop, a clothing, books, and reusable items swap, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, September 14th from 2 to 5pm. All are welcome to bring freshly laundered clothing, books and usable items in great condition to swap with something new to you. Beverages will be available for purchase, please bring a snack to share.
