    KTNA's Annual Decadent Dessert Auction is this week! Tune in daily as we auction off delicious, locally-crafted works of art. The live, on-air auctions are held at 2pm and 8pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday we are hosting on-air auctions at 1 pm and 2pm. Then our finale is during a Decadent Dessert skit at the Complexities of Love variety show at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday evenings.   • 16th Annual Crowley Classic – Susitna Valley High School

    Susitna Valley High School’s Varsity tournament, the Crowley Classic, continues today (Friday) and starts at 9am Saturday. Teams hosted will be the girls & boys from Dillingham, Tok, Huslia, Unalaska and Tri-Valley. The full schedule can be found on the high school’s Facebook Page.

    The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) hosts a free 3-day course for teens and adults at the Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th, and Saturday, March 21st.   • Love on the Loops relay race

    Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails (MUTT) and Denali Nordic Ski Club are hosting Love on the Loops, a combined human and dog powered relay race. The event is at Talkeetna Lakes Park off Comsat Rd. on February 14th, at noon, starting on X lake. Each relay loop is around 5 km and bib pick up is 11:20 am.     Talkeetna Library hosts the Tween Page to Screen book club on Saturday, February 14th from 5 to 7pm. They will be watching the movie adaptation of Alex Rider: Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz.   • Learn How to Wax Your Skis clinic – Denali Nordic Ski Club

    Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts a Learn How to Wax Your Skis clinic on Sunday, February 15th from 3 to 6 pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Attendees may bring skate or classic skis, one pair per person. The clinic will host 1 hour of instruction and discussion about types of skis for different uses, followed by 2 hours of participants waxing their own skis. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post.   • Su Dog 300 mile Sled Dog Race – Volunteers needed

    The Su Dog 300 mile Sled Dog Race is coming back for 2026 and volunteers are needed.  The 300 mile race starts in Willow and does a large loop around the upper Susitna Valley connecting all the communities, including a brand new Talkeetna River checkpoint. The race takes place February 21st - 24th. Volunteering is family friendly and no experience is necessary. Any mobility/accessibility needs will be accommodated.
