The selection for this month, in honor of Black History Month, is What the Fireflies Knew by Kai Harris. The book club meets in person and on Zoom. Breakfast snacks and beverages will be served.     Volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available to help community members with preparing and filing income taxes. Preparation will happen on Wednesdays, beginning February 4th, alternating each week between the Houston City Hall and the Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center.

    It's Fiber February at Denali Arts Council and organizers are looking for someone who would like to teach a needle felting workshop. Workshops will be on February 15th and 22nd. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post. Along with the watch party, there is a potluck and conversation. This course is tailored to those who may engage better in a group setting or need support figuring out the next step.
