    Denali Education Center hosts Career Soup every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm through April 2nd. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post. Along with the watch party, there is a potluck and conversation. This course is tailored to those who may engage better in a group setting or need support figuring out the next step.   • LowDown Brass Band – Denali Arts Council

    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    LowDown Brass Band will be performing at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Thursday, February 19th. Embodying the vibrant Chicago music culture, LowDown Brass Band is a horn ensemble weaving the rhythm of the streets with conscious hip hop, reggae, and soul. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7. Tickets are available at denaliartscouncil.org.

  • Stained Glass Workshop – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council hosts a stained glass workshop on Saturday, February 21st. This 6 hour workshop will be instructed by Debra Whaley, who has been a stained glass artist for 45 years. Participants may choose between 5 different designs. All materials are provided, and participants will take home a completed stained glass project. Participants must be at least 14 years old.     The Talkeetna Library hosts a Jigsaw Puzzle Competition on Saturday, February 21st from 12 to 4pm. Teams of two may choose between the two categories: 750 pieces and 500 pieces.   • Su Dog 300 – Sled Dog Race – Soup Dog

    The Su Dog 300 Sled Dog Race continues through February 24th. Soup Dog is on Monday, February 23rd starting at 5pm at the Willow Community Center. This is a community event and soup competition. It's timed so people will come together, enjoy food, and possibly see the first few mushers cross the finish line. All are welcome to attend and cheer on the mushers.
