    Talkeetna Recycling is closed today due to high winds and negative windchill temperatures. They are normally open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Talkeetna Transfer station.     Denali Arts Council is seeking storytellers for the upcoming Arctic Entries on Saturday, April 4th. The theme is Potholes and Promises, Stories of bumps in the road, where they lead and how you kept going. The stories need to be true, written in the first person and seven minutes long.     KTNA and Su Valley High School are collaborating to offer a Radio Journalism Afterschool Club. This Club is open to all Su Valley students, from middle to high school level. The Club will meet Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15pm for the remainder of the school year at Su Valley High School.     The Talkeetna Community Council is forming a special ad hoc Mainstreet Improvement Committee. They will meet at 6:30pm this Wednesday, March 18th at the Denali Education Center. Agenda items include the selection of officers, the committee goal and brainstorming ideas. All are welcome to attend.

    The Talkeetna Library’s Seed Catalog is up and running. Herb, vegetable, and flower seeds are available. The Library is in need of some herb starts for the community herb garden.     Denali Education Center hosts Career Soup every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm through April 2nd. Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post. Along with the watch party, there is a potluck and conversation. This course is tailored to those who may engage better in a group setting or need support figuring out the next step.     The Upper Susitna Seniors are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center on Friday, March 20th beginning at 6pm. All are welcome to purchase a dinner of spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. There will also be a silent auction.
