Mount Huntington Climbs Presentation – Denali Rescue Volunteers
Sheldon Community Arts HangarDenali Rescue Volunteers present their fundraising event a Mount Huntington Climbs Presentation at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday, June 12th at 7pm. 50 years ago, Roger Robinson and team made the second ascent of Mt. Huntington’s NW Ridge. Cindy Jones, the first woman to summit, will present their 1976 climb alongside a short film of the 1964 first ascent. The program also features Brian McCullough and Lance Leslie’s 1981 alpine-style ascent and first traverse of the mountain.

Talkeetna MuseumThe Talkeetna Historical Society is seeking artists to decorate wooden salmon cutouts for their upcoming Salmon Run Art Auction fundraiser. Weekly backpacks with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks will be available for pick up for anyone aged 18 and under.
