    Mat-Su College is hosting the Fund Your Future Financial Aid Resource Fair on Saturday, February 8th from 10am until 3pm, at Mat-Su College, 8295 East College Drive, in Palmer. Financial Aid Advisors will be joined by representatives from organizations across the Valley offering grants and scholarships for Mat-Su Valley Students. There will also be a FAFSA Completion Room to help students complete their application for Federal Student Aid.     AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) tax representatives are available to assist local residents on completing their 2024 taxes. They will be at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center from 10am until 4pm every other Wednesday, until April 9th. Assistance is by appointment only, you can schedule by calling 211 or (800) 478-2221 or visit taxappointment.aarp.org. Available dates are: February 26th, March 12th, March 26th, and April 9th. Appointments are available on alternative Wednesdays at Houston City Hall.

    The Su-Valley Parent-Teacher-Student Association is hosting a fundraising silent auction during the Crowley Basketball Tournament at the Su-Valley Jr/Sr High School. The auction opens today and closes around 3 pm on Saturday the 14th. The auction includes items donated by local businesses and individuals from across the Northern Susitna Valley.     • Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.
