    Wasteland Hop will be perform at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Saturday, May 10th. Out of Fort Collins, Colorado, Wasteland Hop plays a soulful and unique blend of folk, rock, and hip-hop.     Denali Arts Council's Music Academy presents a Mother's Day Concert with the Rhythm and Red Shoe Ensemble, Desperate Measures and the Community Choir on Sunday, May 11th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Doors open at 3:30pm, and the concert begins at 4pm.

    There are sponsorship opportunities available for the 2025 Talkeetna Trail Race. This is a 25k, and 5k race in September which supports Talkeetna Elementary PTA's Healthy Lifestyles and Artist in Residence programs.     Here’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:

    • Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

  • Willow Summer Trails challenge

    The Willow Summer Trails challenge begins May 16, and ends September 26th. Passports with listed Willow community trail descriptions are available at the Willow Library. Participants will document their hike with selfies. A culminating event to award prizes will be held on September 27th. This event is a partnership between the Willow Trails Committee and the Willow Library. Questions may be addressed to the Library staff at 907-861-7655.
