Willow Public LibraryHere’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:
- Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
- Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

- Storytime for ages 0-7 begins 11am with a snack, stories, and a craft.
- Lunch on the Lawn for all ages up to 18 is at 12pm.
- The Summer Reading Program for all ages begins at 1pm.

Flying Squirrel Bakery & CafeThe Bear Necessities Coalition hosts a bear themed art opening at Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe on Saturday, June 7th from 3 to 5pm. Denali Rescue Volunteers Event
Sheldon Community Arts HangarThere is a fundraising event for Denali Rescue Volunteers at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Saturday, June 7th at 7pm. Roger Robinson presents Denali South Buttress Climbs, as a tribute to Denali’s volunteer rescue legacy. Talkeetna’s Roger Robinson will recount his 1975 climb of Denali’s remote South Buttress—a journey that launched his 45-year career in the Alaska Range. The talk includes rare photos and audio from the original 1954 ascent and rescue and Denali’s first helicopter evacuation. There will be door prizes and donations are welcome at the door.
