    Appointments available for Income Tax preparation

    Volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available to help community members with preparing and filing income taxes. Preparation will happen on Wednesdays, beginning February 4th, alternating each week between the Houston City Hall and the Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center.

    Appointments may be made by calling 211 or (800) 478-2221. Additionally, appointment links are available on the KTNA announcements webpage.

    Here’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:

Career Soup is a weekly watch party of Discover What You Were Born To Do, a 12-week course written by local executive career mentor, Shannon Post.     Due to unusually warm temperatures, the ice at the Jack MacDonald ice rink at Talkeetna Elementary School is closed. Please stay off the ice until temperatures return to below freezing and the ice is solid. Walking and/or skating on unfrozen or partially frozen ice can destroy the base ice.
