The News Producer writes local stories and oversees the work of staff and volunteer reporters.     Talkeetna Elementary School is hosting Discovery Days on Monday, May 18th through Wednesday, May 20th, from 9:00 to 11:15 AM, and they are looking for community volunteers. Discovery Days give students a chance to explore hands-on activities—from art and music to outdoor skills, STEM, and local business experiences.     Denali Arts Council’s annual Talkeetna Art Festival is this Saturday & Sunday, May 23rd and 24th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Each day starting at noon there will be live music on two stages, aerial performances, and art vendors with demos and workshops. This is an indoor/outdoor family friendly event.
