    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts a weekly afterschool program called Reading Tuesdays. Students are welcome to come and read, work on homework or a craft, and spend time with friends from 3:15 until 5pm every Tuesday. Sunshine Transit is available to transport students from the Talkeetna Elementary School. Permission slips are required.     The Trapper Creek Public Library hosts Plant a Seed, Read a summer reading program with lunch on Wednesdays at the library. This program is for children of all ages.     The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program weekly on Thursdays at 11am.  At noon, all ages are welcome to have lunch together- on the lawn. Weekly backpacks with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks will be available for pick up for anyone aged 18 and under. If you are unable to pick up your lunch on Thursday between noon and 1, please let the library know and they can hold them for you.     The Denali Arts Council and the Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce host Live at Five, an annual Summer Concert series beginning this Friday, May 17th. The weekly concerts are family-friendly and are every Friday from 5-7 pm at the Talkeetna Village Park. The concerts feature bands from Alaska and the lower 48.
