The Trapper Creek Community Council meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at the Trapper Creek Community Center. The next one is on April 16th, all are welcome to attend.

Denali Arts Council hosts The Singing Zoologist at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Thursday, April 16th. The Singing Zoologist, Lucas Miller, blends music, puppets and projected videos to keep audiences laughing, moving, singing and learning. This show family-friendly show is suitable for all ages. There will be pizza available, by the slice until it runs out, to make this a dinner-and-a-show type of event. Denali Education Center and Jessica Stevens Community Foundation host their annual Earth Day Celebration and Nonprofit Fair on Saturday, April 18th from 11am until 3pm at Denali Education Center's Susitna Hall in Talkeetna. Featuring presentations on recycling and food waste, kids' activities and projects, and food. Governor Candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins will be in Talkeetna to meet the community this Thursday, April 23rd from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and share your thoughts.

The Friends of the Talkeetna Library are hosting two more computer classes this spring. On Friday, April 24th there is a class covering A.I. Basics. And on Friday, May 8th, there is a class on Scam Busters. Each computer class is from 1 to 3pm at the Talkeetna Public Library. The Talkeetna Library is celebrating National Library Week with a variety of activities each day. Everyone is invited to “Find Your Joy" at the Talkeetna Public Library and join in the activities. Upper Susitna Soil and Water Conservation District is having a meeting on Saturday, April 25th from 2 to 5 pm at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center. The district is being revived to resume its role in the community with initiatives in salmon and wildlife habitat stewardship, trails, AK agriculture and local food production, invasive species and providing public information.
