There will be a Caswell Lakes Road Service Area (RSA 15) meeting on Monday, March 9th at 6:30PM at Sheep Creek Lodge. The Denali Arts Council presents the musical group Bon Débarras at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Wednesday, March 11th. This Montreal Trio fuses folk music from Quebec, traditional step-dancing, and global influences for a show that is fun and full of energy. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7pm. The Talkeenta Skatepark Committee presents Krew Fewd 2 a Live Game Show Fundraiser and Art Auction on Thursday, March 12th at the Sheldon Arts Hangar. Attendees are able to bid on skateboards designed by local artists beginning at 6pm and then watch the Family-Feud style game show play out live at 7pm. Donations are appreciated, all proceeds will go towards building the Talkeetna Skatepark.

The Friends of the Talkeetna Library meet on Friday, March 13th at 1pm, at the Talkeetna Public Library. All are welcome to attend and voice your opinions and support. Plans for the 53rd birthday party on March 17th will be discussed. Please call the library at 907-861-7645 for Zoom information.

The Denali Arts Council is showing the film The Last King at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday, March 13th.  This R-rated movie takes place in 1204 in Norway, where a couple of ski champions try to protect a royal baby. Costumes are encouraged. Doors at 7:30, Film starts at 8pm.

The Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts the annual Oosik Classic Ski Race this Saturday, March 14th. The race start is at the mile 11 gravel pit off the Talkeetna Spur Road. Jr. Oosik starts at 10:00am, the 25K Race starts at 12:15pm and the 50K Race begins at 12pm. Racers may be crossing the finish line by the Boat Launch off of F Street in East Talkeetna between 1 and 6 pm. Please use caution when driving in race areas.
