The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is soliciting applications from non-profit agencies for the FY2026 Mat-Su Human Services Community Matching Grant Program. The application period closes at 4:30 pm on Friday, June 13th. Applicants may request up to $50,000 per agency. More information is available online.

The Susitna River Coalition and partners host the 4th Annual Plants for Salmon. All are invited to plant native vegetation to restore salmon habitat on Saturday, June 14, from 10am to 2pm at the Yoder Road bridge on Montana Creek. There will be kids’ activities, fly casting demos, and food. Tools are provided; bring gloves and sturdy shoes if possible. Entries for this year’s Salmon Run Art Auction fundraiser benefiting the Talkeetna Historical Society are due at the Museum by Sunday, June 15.
