Talkeetna Historical Society seeking artists
Talkeetna MuseumThe Talkeetna Historical Society is seeking artists to decorate wooden salmon cutouts for their upcoming Salmon Run Art Auction fundraiser. The completed artwork is due by July 15th. Those who are interested may stop by the museum or call Autumn at (907)304-0321 to coordinate a pickup time. The museum is open every day from 9am to 5pm.

Volunteer Trail Work Weekend – Alaska Trails
Alaska Trails is organizing a two-day volunteer event, July 25th and 26th, on Ermine Hill Trail in Denali State Park. Volunteers will replace one of the foot bridges and repair sections of trail tread to allow for proper drainage. Hiking is challenging on steep terrain with between 3-4 miles total hiked each day. Volunteers will work both Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 to 3:30pm and have the opportunity to camp at Byers Lake Campground.
