    The Susitna Community Council meets on Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 pm at the Upper Susitna Senior & Community Center.     Denali Nordic Ski Club presents the film, The Last King, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday March 7th. This R-rated film begins at 7:30pm, after Oosik Registration. This film screening is a folk tale set in 1206 Norway, about ski champions who protect a child with a royal following.

    Talkeetna Elementary PTA is hosting a bake sale at the Oosik start line from 10am until 1pm on Saturday, March 8th. In addition to individually wrapped baked goods and healthy trail snacks, they will have water, hot chocolate, and electrolytes.

    Susitna River Coalition is gauging interest for a timber grading workshop with the Department of Natural Resources for the Upper Susitna Valley. Please contact margaret@susitnarivercoalition.org if interested in attending to learn about this free, one day training. If there is enough interest, this workshop could be hosted in the area.

  • MUTT Campfire – Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails

    Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails (MUTT) are hosting a Community Campfire Gathering on Sunday, March 16th from 2 to 4pm, at the Talkeetna Lakes Park Stadium off of Comsat Road. All are welcome to bring their dogs, hit the trails and and share stories with fellow trail users. There will be an info booth and a warming station.
