    Trapper Creek Community Services hosts the Fireweed Festival on Saturday, July 18th at the Trapper Creek Community Park. The festival is filled with craft vendors, food trucks, live music, and fun entertainment.   • Kids Softball – Upper Susitna Softball Association

    The Upper Susitna Softball Association is offering all kids complementary hot dogs and hamburgers for participating in a softball game and skills competition this Friday, June 19th starting a 3:30 PM at the ball field in Talkeetna. The fun will conclude before Live at 5. This event is for kids of ages around 5-13 years years old.

  • Annual Father’s Day BBQ – Upper Susitna Seniors

    The Upper Susitna Seniors are hosting a father's Day BBQ at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center on Saturday, June 20th, from 10am to 2pm. The community is invited for food and fun. You may also bring new or used items to sell. Call the center at 907-733-6200 for more details.

  • CD Player needed

    Nancy from Honky Tonk Jukebox is in need of a cd player, hers died.  If you have one in a box stuck away someplace because you don't use discs anymore, it could have a job again.... helping her put the shows together. Please reach out to Nancy if you can help at 907-982-4677.

  • Super Spruce trees available

    If you are interested in planting an Arthur Mannix Super Spruce tree, there are 60+ trees that are now 10 inches tall and need to be planted this summer. Please contact Marissa at 907-203-1978 for more information and to pick up a tree.

    Art Workshops – Denali Arts Council
    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    Professional teaching artist, Denise Iacovone is offering 3 art workshops this summer at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
    The first is a Contour Line Drawing Workshop. Participants will learn how to work in contour line, creating multiple experimental drawings in a studio setting. This two-day workshop is on Friday, June 26th, and Monday, June 29th.

  • Community Yard Sale Fundraiser – Talkeetna Skatepark

    A community yard sale will be held at the Talkeetna Gear Shop on Saturday, June 27th. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Talkeetna Skatepark. Donated items of all types can be brought to the Gear Shop through June 26th. The Gear Shop is open from 10am to 6pm every day, and is located across from K2 Aviation, on Second Street in Talkeetna.

  • Triple Black Diamonds

    Mountain High Pizza Pie

    The band Triple Black Diamonds perform as part of a campaign to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, June 27th starting at 7pm at Mountain High Pizza in Talkeetna. You can learn more about their campaign with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society online.

  • Roustabout Circus Show – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council host a Roustabout Show on Sunday, June 28th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
    The 2026 Green Light Circus instructors will showcase their talents for the public. Doors open at 2:30 and the show will begin at 3:00pm. Donations are welcome.

  • Jazz Workshop Performance – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council presents a jazz performance featuring Maestro Rocco John Iacovone /E-ya-ka-vone-ay/ and local Jazz Workshop participates on Thursday, July 2nd at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Rocco is a composer, musician, teaching-artist  and plays Alto and Soprano Saxophones and Piano. Doors at 6:30pm and music at 7pm. Tickets are available at denaliartscouncil.org

  • Paint and Sip Master class, Art Workshops – Denali Arts Council
