    The Talkeetna Historical Society’s Annual meeting is being held at the Talkeetna Roadhouse today (Wednesday, November 13th) from 5 to 7 PM. This is your chance to hear what the society has been doing this year, renew your membership, vote for board members, and enjoy some food.   • Tweens Book to Screen program

    Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Tweens Book to Screen program on Saturday, November 16th from 5 to 7pm. Tweens aged 9 to 12 are welcome.  This month’s movie is based on the book Artemis Fowl by Eoin (OWEN) Colfer.

    Denali Nordic Ski Club host their annual general membership meeting with a BBQ at The Grove on Saturday, November 16th, beginning at 6pm. Burgers, brats and beverages will be provided, you are welcome to bring stories and a dish to share.

    B Movie BINGO Play bingo to movie clichés. Doors open at 8:30, movie starts at 9:00pm. Every third Tuesday, beginning October 15th. This event will be for attendees aged 21 and over.

  • Jack MacDonald Ice Rink Maintenance

    The Jack MacDonald Ice Rink at Talkeetna Elementary is closed for painting and ice maintenance through Wednesday, November 27th. It will reopen and be ready for skating beginning on Thursday, November 28th.

  • Community Thanksgiving Service

    All are invited to the Community Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday evening, November 27th. This will be held at the Assembly of God Church at on the Talkeetna Spur Road, beginning at 6pm sharp.     The choir from Our Lady of the Valley School will be performing at St Bernard’s Church on Thursday, December 5th at 1:15pm.  This choir features students from Pre School through 8th grade.  Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the music.   • Talkeetna Bachelor Society funding deadline

    The Talkeetna Bachelor Society is accepting letters of requests for funding from non-profit organizations and community programs that will benefit women and children in the Talkeetna area. The request should describe your program needs and the amount being requested. Letters can be mailed to: Talkeetna Bachelor Society, P.O. Box 1063, Talkeetna, AK 99676 or emailed to: tkabachelors@gmail.com. The deadline for requests is December 10th.
