The Susitna Community Council meets on Thursday March 5th at the Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center at 7 pm. There is an option to attend via Zoom, you can find the Zoom Link on the announcement page at KTNA.org.

Talkeetna PTA Community Enrichment host a Movie Night this Thursday, March 5th in the gym at Talkeetna Elementary School. Doors open at 6:45, the movie begins at 7pm. All are welcome.

There will be a Caswell Lakes Road Service Area (RSA 15) meeting on Monday, March 9th at 6:30PM at Sheep Creek Lodge. This meeting and future meetings now offer the opportunity for you to attend online or to call-in via Zoom.  The  Zoom meeting information can be found on the announcement at KTNA.org.

The Talkeetna Skatepark Committee is meeting tonight, Tuesday, March 10th at 6PM at the Talkeetna Public Library. All are welcome to attend. If you'd like to volunteer for their upcoming Game Show, Krew Fewd, they need a couple more people to help out with setup/breakdown of the event and helping out with the deck art auction. Talkeetna Public Library is holding day-long events during Spring Break through March14th.

Today is Taco Thursday. All are welcome to come and make- and eat- tacos until 5pm, or until the supplies run out.
Friday is Cribbage Day. You can learn how to play cribbage- and checkers- at the Talkeetna Library. In addition, there are jigsaw puzzles to attempt or to take home.
Saturday, 3/14 is Pi Day - Pi is a mathematical term but the Talkeetna Library will not be solving geometry problems, they will be serving Pie from 11am to 5pm, or until the pie runs out.

The Denali Arts Council presents the musical group Bon Débarras at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Wednesday, March 11th. This Montreal Trio fuses folk music from Quebec, traditional step-dancing, and global influences for a show that is fun and full of energy. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7pm. The Talkeenta Skatepark Committee presents Krew Fewd 2 a Live Game Show Fundraiser and Art Auction on Thursday, March 12th at the Sheldon Arts Hangar. Attendees are able to bid on skateboards designed by local artists beginning at 6pm and then watch the Family-Feud style game show play out live at 7pm. Donations are appreciated, all proceeds will go towards building the Talkeetna Skatepark.

The Upper Susitna Seniors host Bingo every other Friday from 7 to 9pm at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center. The next one is on March 13th. All are welcome. You may call (907)733-6200 for more information.

The Denali Arts Council is showing the film The Last King at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday, March 13th.  This R-rated movie takes place in 1204 in Norway, where a couple of ski champions try to protect a royal baby. Costumes are encouraged. Doors at 7:30, Film starts at 8pm.

The Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts the annual Oosik Classic Ski Race this Saturday, March 14th. The race start is at the mile 11 gravel pit off the Talkeetna Spur Road. Jr. Oosik starts at 10:00am, the 25K Race starts at 12:15pm and the 50K Race begins at 12pm. Racers may be crossing the finish line by the Boat Launch off of F Street in East Talkeetna between 1 and 6 pm. Please use caution when driving in race areas. Talkeetna Library hosts their Tween Page to Screen program on Saturday, March 14 from 5 to 7pm. The movie this month is Inkheart, based on the book by Cornelia Funke. Tweens aged 9 to 12 are invited to discuss the book, enjoy the movie and share some pizza Pie.
